Bossweld Bernard Style Steel Liner 0.9 to 1.2 mm x 4.8 m, 200/300 fits Bernard 200/300 style MIG torches. It is a 4.8 m steel liner for 0.9 to 1.2 mm wire.

The liner guides the welding wire from the drive rollers to the contact tip. A clean liner of the right bore feeds wire smoothly, while a worn, dirty or wrongly sized liner causes erratic feeding, bird-nesting and burn-back. Steel liners suit steel and stainless steel wire.

Selecting the right option

Pick the liner to match your wire: the bore range has to include your wire diameter, and the material has to suit the wire (steel for steel and stainless, Teflon for aluminium and soft wires). Check the length against your torch cable, and cut the liner square and deburr the end when you fit it. Replace the liner whenever feeding becomes erratic, and change it along with the contact tip if you have been burning back.
