The Bossweld Manganese Bronze Bare Welding Rod 5 kg Packet is a low-fuming bare bronze brazing alloy that gives good visibility and a smooth bead appearance. It is classified AWS A5.8 RBCuZn-C (manufacturer-stated) and produces ductile, non-porous deposits with strong mechanical properties.

It is suited to gas brazing steel, copper alloys, cast iron, nickel alloys and stainless steel, and comes in 1.6 mm, 2.4 mm, 3.2 mm and 5 mm diameters in a 5 kg pack. It is a bare rod, so use it with a brazing flux.

Selecting the right option

Choose the diameter to suit the joint and the heat you are working with. Use a brazing flux, such as the Universal Copper and Brass Flux, with a bare rod. Brazing and soldering fumes can be harmful, so work with good ventilation or fume extraction and check the safety data sheet for the exact composition.
