CorrosionX Rust Reconverter

• Rust Reconverter LT stops further rusting of machinery, tools, vehicles, equipment, boats, metal buildings and many other applications.
• Rust Reconverter LT chemically converts rust into a black organic complex while a clear acrylic coating is formed over the surface. When used indoors, the coating can last for years even without painting. When used outdoors or in high humidity applications, it should be painted over using an oil-based enamel or epoxy paint.

Direction of use

• Clean off mud, salt, clay and dust from surface with a power washer.
• Grease, oil and tar must be removed. Rust flakes and scaling must be removed.
• Brush, roll or spray onto any metal surface.
• Works best on steel, but adheres also to sound galvanised surfaces. We find the easiest way to apply is an electrical paint sprayer. That leaves a good, sound coating in one single spray.
• Coat twice for better scratch resistance and making it more waterproof in extreme environments like commercial fishing. 1 ltr coats around 11 sqmtr in two coats, depending on the amount of remaining rust prior to coating the surface.
• Spraying needs more paint than brushing in windy conditions.
• Does not need sanding between the coats. Does not need sanding before topcoating.
• As the paint is waterbased, all tools, sprayers and containers can simply be cleaned with water.
• Safe to use in confined spaces simply as it is not flammable and does not produce gases.

Safety Precautions

• Wear eye protection and chem resistant gloves.
• Unwanted spills, once dried, can be hard to remove!
• Make sure paint has time to dry before any rain arrives or it could get messy!
• Drying time in dry weather around 4 hrs. Overcoat with itself when well touch dry. Overcoat with other paint after 8-12 hrs depending on humidity.
• Keep away from children. Avoid skin and eye contact!

• Heavy machinery, ship yard equipment, steel boats, bridges, farm equipment, steel roofing, garden furniture and any vehicles.
• Suitable in areas exposed to no more than 150 degrees
