Selecting the right option
For a non-flammable alternative see CRC NF Aeroclean Degreaser 400g Aerosol - Pack of 6, which is a separate CRC product. For a 500g degreaser see CRC Hot Shot Degreaser 500g.
Using it
Provide adequate ventilation. For engine cleaning, warm the engine for easier cleaning and then turn it off, remove the air filter, and protect the carburettor and distributor.
Shake the can thoroughly before use. CRC recommends the can is at room temperature. Hold the can 20 to 25 cm from the surface and apply an even coat. Allow it to soak for 10 to 20 minutes depending on soil build-up, and repeat if required.
Rinse with a strong jet of water, then idle the engine to dry.
Storage and handling
Do not puncture, incinerate or store above 50 °C.
Limits and safety
