CRC Dry Glide with PTFE Dry Film Lubricant 150g Aerosol
Available
CRC Dry Glide with PTFE is a multi-purpose, long-term dry film lubricant that contains PTFE. It is applied as a white liquid that dries to a film on rotating, sliding and turning surfaces.
CRC lists uses from window tracks and sliding doors to conveyors, moulds, die sets and packaging machines. The safety data sheet carries serious health hazards, including H360 (may damage fertility or the unborn child), so read the hazard section before use. This page covers the 150g aerosol, CRC product number 3040.

Selecting the right option
For a lubricant with extreme pressure additives and PTFE see CRC Aerosol Power Lube With PTFE High Performance Lubricant 300g; for a silicone film see CRC Aerosol 808 Silicone Spray Multi-Purpose Enhancer, Lubricant & Protectant 330g. Each has its own data sheet and hazard classification.
Using it
Shake the can well and clean and dry the surface thoroughly.
Spray onto the contact surfaces or mechanisms.
Leave to dry for 10 to 15 minutes. Full cure takes 24 hours, and CRC says to allow 24 hours to cure before use.
Retreat when needed, allowing the film to dry between applications.
Storage and handling
Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures above 50 °C. Keep away from heat and ignition sources. Do not pierce or burn the can, even after use. The pressurised container may burst if heated.
Limits and safety
SDS classification: signal word Danger. Extremely flammable aerosol (H222). Pressurised container: may burst if heated (H229). Causes skin irritation (H315) and serious eye irritation (H319). May cause respiratory irritation (H335) and drowsiness or dizziness (H336). May damage fertility or the unborn child (H360). May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure (H373). Transport class UN 1950, Aerosols, Class 2.1. CRC's product page says it may affect some painted surfaces, may discolour or damage some plastics and is not suitable for vehicle window mechanisms; test a small, inconspicuous area first. Incompatible with oxidising agents (for example hypochlorites), acids (for example nitric acid) and alkalis (for example sodium hydroxide). Read the safety data sheet before use.
