CRC Belt Dressing Food Grade 284g Aerosol

CRC Food Grade Belt Dressing is a synthetic belt dressing in a 284g aerosol. It sprays a tacky, colourless, non-drying, water resistant film that improves traction and reduces belt slip, belt tension, and dirt or product debris build-up.

CRC states it is NSF H1 registered for incidental food contact, and that the colourless film will not stain finished goods carried on conveyor systems. It suits flat, round and V belts in leather, rubber, canvas and fabric. It is not suitable for multi-V-belts.

Using it

Switch off the equipment and stop the belts before applying. Do not apply while equipment is energised.

Spray a light, even coating on each side of the belt where it contacts the pulleys. CRC says to use it sparingly.

Re-apply periodically. Not suitable for multi-V-belts.

Storage and handling

Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated place below 50 °C, away from foodstuffs, heat and ignition sources.

SDS classification: signal word Danger. Extremely flammable aerosol (H222). Pressurised container: may burst if heated (H229). May be fatal if swallowed and enters airways (H304). May cause drowsiness or dizziness (H336). Suspected of damaging fertility or the unborn child (H361). May cause damage to organs through prolonged or repeated exposure (H373). Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects (H412). Transport class: UN 1950, Aerosols, Class 2.1. Keep away from heat and ignition sources. The SDS lists oxidising agents, acids and alkalis as incompatible. Not suitable for multi-V-belts. Read the safety data sheet before use.
