Selecting the right option

Using it

CRC's directions: pre-clean the item if it is dirty or oily. Rinse it and immerse it completely. Soak until the rust is removed: at least 30 minutes for light rust and 12 to 24 hours for stubborn rust. Use at 18°C and above.

Rinse the item with water and dry it immediately. CRC says water blasting is recommended for larger items. To prevent flash rust, spray the treated item with CRC Evapo-Rust Rust-Block.

Keep the container closed when not in use. The safety data sheet gives the full storage details.

Limits and safety

The SDS (16/07/25) does not classify it as hazardous according to Safe Work Australia criteria and gives no signal word, pictograms or hazard statements. It is not classified as dangerous goods.
