CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner Aerosol 300g

CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner is an aerosol that CRC recommends as a safe and effective way to clean delicate MAF sensors in modern vehicles. A contaminated sensor is likely to cause poor fuel economy, excessive emission, power loss, hard starting, stalling and even gear problems, according to CRC.

The MAF sensor sits between the air filter and the throttle body and is cleaned with a few sprays through the extension tube. CRC says to use it every time the air filter is serviced.

Using it

Turn off the vehicle. Do not apply while equipment is energised. Locate the MAF sensor between the air filter and the throttle body, unplug the MAF sensor wire harness, remove the MAF housing and place a cloth underneath.

With the extension tube attached, apply 10-15 sprays onto the hot wires or flat film element. Spray all sides of the sensor and clean all wires and connectors.

Reassemble the MAF housing and allow it to dry thoroughly before reactivating.

Storage and handling

Do not puncture, incinerate or store above 50 °C. Keep away from live electrical sources, as aerosol cans conduct electricity.
