B-Safe's technical guide says to inspect fall protection equipment before each use, to check the date of manufacture and the remove from service date on the label, and to take any equipment that has been used to arrest a fall out of use and return it to the supplier for inspection and certification, or destroy it (manufacturer-stated).

Fall protection equipment must be selected, installed, used, inspected and maintained by trained people in line with the manufacturer's instructions and the relevant Australian Standards. Selecting the right option

B-Safe's sizing guide gives waist measurements of 660 to 900 mm for small, 750 to 1050 mm for medium and 750 to 1150 mm for large and extra large, and says the guide does not replace confirming a suitable fit before you buy (manufacturer-stated). Confirm the XL size with AIMS before you order. A confined space harness is one part of a system that needs a suitable anchorage point, connecting device and rescue plan.
