Frontier Class 5 Overhead Earmuff, Yellow (FREARMUFFYY00C5)

The Frontier Class 5 overhead earmuff, code FREARMUFFYY00C5, is a hi-vis yellow earmuff with a padded stainless steel wire headband. Frontier's data sheet states it is made to AS/NZS 1270:2002 (manufacturer-stated), Class 5, SLC80 30 dB (manufacturer-stated). Beaver's catalogue describes a compact design, soft ear cushions, an adjustable headband and a hi-vis colour for increased visibility (manufacturer-stated).

The earmuff is retail packaged on a hang cell with a barcode, one earmuff per pack, with 24 per carton (manufacturer-stated). When earplugs and earmuffs are worn together, the combined protection is less than the two ratings added together (manufacturer-stated), so use your site noise assessment to choose the protection. Fit the earmuff with the cups fully enclosing the ears and hair moved away from the ears. Choose hearing protection from your site noise assessment and check the fit on each worker.
