Gates 750-5M-25 PowerGrip HTD Belt Classical Section
Available
Gates HTD timing belts 5M section use a curved tooth profile for improved load distribution and higher torque capacity than trapezoidal timing belts. They are a well-established standard for industrial synchronous drives where moderate-to-high torque transmission is required.
Where this product is used
Gates Powergrip timing belts and tensioners serve both automotive and industrial synchronous drive applications. Typical end uses include:
- Automotive engine valve-train and camshaft timing systems requiring OE-level precision and service life
- Industrial synchronous drives on CNC machines, robotics, conveyors and high-speed indexing equipment
- Engine timing kits and scheduled maintenance for fleet vehicles, trucks and passenger cars

Selecting the right option
For automotive Powergrip timing belts and tensioners, select by vehicle make, model, engine code and year. Always replace the belt and tensioner together — mixing service lives defeats the purpose of a timing belt kit. For industrial synchronous belts, select by pitch (3MGT, 5MGT, 8MGT, 14MGT for Poly Chain GT Carbon; 3M, 5M, 8M for HTD) and belt width. Poly Chain GT Carbon belts deliver significantly higher power ratings in the same space envelope as standard HTD belts — worth specifying on any new drive design or where a standard HTD is failing ahead of schedule.
