Applications

• HSS Button Dies (also known as Adjustable Dies) are designed for cutting external threads
• They also can be used to cut smaller or larger, than factory setting, by utilising the adjusting screws in the die holder

Specifications

• They are used for threading rods, bolts, and studs, either by hand using a die stock, or by machine using a floating die holder
• British Standard Brass - brass tubing has a uniform wall thickness, irrespective of the tube diameter, therefore any thread cut on, or in, it needs to have the same depth, so 26 TPI is standard on all BSB diameters
• HSS Circular Split Button Die
• Dies are manufactured with a thread chamfer to aid starting
• BSB is often confused with BS Cycle thread, the difference being that brass thread has an angle of 55° whereas Cycle is 60°
