- HSS Circular Split Button Die
- HSS Button Dies (also known as Adjustable Dies) are designed for cutting external threads.
- They are used for threading rods, bolts, and studs, either by hand using a die stock, or by machine using a floating die holder.
- They also can be used to cut smaller or larger, than factory setting, by utilising the adjusting screws in the die holder.
- Dies are manufactured with a thread chamfer to aid starting.
- M2-HSS material provides increased wear resistance and superior thread accuracy.
- British Standard Pipe - G Series (BSPF/BSPP) is a pipe thread which is used mainly for mechanical coupling.
- The angle of thread is mainly 55° however for the US method some threads have a 60° angle.
- It is specified according to JIS and ISO R228.
