Loctite 660 Quick Metal High Strength

The Loctite 660 Quick Metal High Strength Retaining Compound is a metallic grey, anaerobic paste for bonding cylindrical parts where bond gaps approach 0.5 mm. It restores correct fits on worn shafts, spun bearings and damaged keyways without re-machining, and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. The thick paste stays put during assembly, reaches fixture strength in about 15 minutes and handles -55°C to +150°C. Available in 6 ml and 50 ml.
Clean and dry both surfaces, using Loctite SF 7471 or SF 7649 activator on inactive metals, then coat the leading edge of the shaft and the inside of the collar and rotate the parts as they go together. Leave the assembly undisturbed until handling strength is reached, heat locally to about 250°C to dismantle, and avoid using it on plastics. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
