A Loctite activator is a solvent-based liquid that's wiped or sprayed onto a bond surface before the adhesive is applied, to speed up cure and improve bond strength on inactive substrates (stainless steel, plated metals, plastics) where the adhesive would otherwise cure slowly or weakly. Loctite 7387 is a transparent activator containing n-heptane and isopropanol, formulated to initiate the cure of toughened acrylic adhesives, supplied here in a 100 ml bottle.
