The Loctite AA 330 Structural Acrylic Adhesive (formerly Loctite 330) is a general-purpose, two-step acrylic structural adhesive with good impact resistance. It is a single component used with an activator, so there is no mixing, and it bonds metal, wood, ferrite, ceramic and plastics, including dissimilar materials like PVC, phenolic and acrylic. It fixtures in about 3 minutes, reaches 15 to 30 N/mm² lap shear on grit-blasted mild steel, and works from -25°C to +100°C. This is the 300 ml cartridge.
Put Activator SF 7387 on one clean face and the adhesive on the other, keep the gap to around 0.1 mm (or activate both faces for up to 0.5 mm), and hold the parts until fixtured before loading after 24 to 72 hours. Resistance to acetone and petrol is limited, and it is not suited to pure-oxygen systems or to sealing chlorine and strong oxidisers. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
