The Loctite SI 5075 Insulating & Sealing Wrap is a self-fusing silicone rubber tape for quick, temporary sealing and insulating repairs. There is no adhesive: each layer fuses to the one beneath, building a solid rubber sleeve that leaves no sticky residue on the part. It stretches to three times its length, handles -54°C to +260°C and offers up to 15.7 kV/mm dielectric strength. This is the 25 mm x 3 m roll.
Peel the tape from its liner, anchor one end and keep it stretched tight as you wind, overlapping each turn by about two-thirds and finishing on a previous layer. It seals as you wrap with no cure time, but treat it as a temporary fix and keep it out of oxygen-rich, chlorine or strong oxidiser service. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
