Mack Force Zip-Up Safety Boots, Black, UK/AU 4 (MK0FORCEZBBF040)
Available
The Mack Force Zip is a six inch safety boot with a steel toe cap and an encased leather YKK side zip for easy access. Mack says the zip suits workers exposed to sparks, working around water or taking their boots off several times a day (manufacturer-stated). The upper is full grain leather in black and nubuck leather in honey, with a soft structured collar and a TPU outsole.
The modRIDE midsole is built on running shoe technology, with a stability waffle zone on the medial side and a compression waffle zone at the heel for cushioning (manufacturer-stated). The ADAPTruss midsole supports the midfoot, the decoupleGROOVE sole adds flexibility, and the asymBEVEL heel is shaped for the natural heel strike. The sole resists fuel oil and heat to 150 degrees C, and the boot is anti-static and water resistant (manufacturer-stated).
The manufacturer lists these approved standards: AS/NZS 2210.3 (Class I S1 SRA); EN ISO 20345:2011 (S1 SRA); ASTM F2413-18 (M I/75/C/75/SD) (manufacturer-stated). Check the marking inside the boot, and ask AIMS for the certificate if your site needs proof. Safety footwear does not replace a risk assessment, so choose the boot for the hazards on your site, and replace boots with a damaged toe cap, a worn sole or a split upper.
Height is 162 mm. The data sheet lists a weight of 1.95 kg at size 10 UK/AUS and does not say whether this is a pair (manufacturer-stated). Sizes run from UK/AUS 4 to 13 (US 5 to 14) with half sizes from 6.5 to 10.5.
