Ninja Slash-Tec FA6-Impact Gloves, Medium (NIRZRSTFIBBD00M)

The Ninja RAZR Slash-Tec FA6-Impact is the FA6 cut resistant glove with impact protection on the back of the hand and fingers. It has an 18 gauge liner of Kevlar, modacrylic and steel, and a black NFT (New Foam Technology) coat on the palm with thumb line dipping. Ninja's data sheet lists reinforcement over the full thumb and forefinger, a colour coded size band, and a coat that gives oil, dry and wet grip and lets air through (manufacturer-stated). The liner is black and red and the glove is 25 cm long (size large).

Ninja gives EN 388:2016 4X42FP, which is abrasion 4, blade cut not tested, tear 4 and puncture 2, with a cut result of F and the impact test passed (manufacturer-stated). Ninja also gives EN 407:2004 X1XXXX (manufacturer-stated). The EN 407 result (manufacturer-stated) is read in the order burning behaviour, contact heat, convective heat, radiant heat, small molten metal splash and large molten metal splash. An X means that test was not done, so the glove has no rating for it. Contact heat level 1 is the lowest level, so this is not a heat resistant glove. Ninja lists applications as construction and mining, machinery and equipment, oil and gas, fabrication, sheet metal work, glazing, maintenance, timber and forestry and scaffolding (manufacturer-stated). The EN 388:2016 result (manufacturer-stated) is read in the order abrasion, blade cut, tear, puncture and then a cut letter from A to F. A higher number or letter is a higher level, a 0 means level 1 was not reached, and an X means that test was not done. A P at the end means the impact test was passed. Match the glove to your risk assessment, check the fit, and replace gloves that are worn, torn or contaminated. The ratings are test results on the glove material and do not describe every hazard on your site.
