Olfa SK-8 15mm depth Safety Knife

The Olfa SK-8 is a safety knife with a spring-activated blade that retracts automatically when cutting is paused or stopped, or when the blade is lifted from the surface, even with the slider still engaged (manufacturer-stated).

Olfa states that the retraction cannot be overridden, that the oversized textured slider is easy to activate and that the cutting depth is 15mm. The head is aluminium die-cast, and the handle has a non-slip elastomer Comfort Grip with a lanyard hole (manufacturer-stated).

The blade is changed without tools and can be flipped 180 degrees for right- or left-handed use. The spare blade is the SKB-8 dual-edge safety blade with a 90-degree edge. Olfa lists bagged goods, up to 3-ply corrugated, films, foam and polystyrene, layers of foil or paper, and tape among the materials it is for (manufacturer-stated).

Olfa states the SK-8 carries the GS mark under the German Product Safety Act (ProdSG) (manufacturer-stated).

Selecting the right option
