The Safra Premium 5356 Aluminium Alloy TIG Welding Rod is a 5% magnesium filler rod for fusion welding of 5000 series aluminium alloys and many other aluminium alloys where extra strength is needed. It is classified AWS A5.10 ER5356 (manufacturer-stated).

It suits marine work, tubing, thin sheet, tanks, checker plate and general aluminium fabrication. It comes in 1.6, 2.4 and 3.2 mm, in 5 kg packs.

Selecting the right option

Choose the rod diameter to suit the material thickness and your amperage. Aluminium is TIG welded on AC with clean, oxide-free rod and base metal. If you are unsure which wire suits your base metal, machine and shielding gas, contact AIMS with the details of the job.
