Sutton M305M010 Round Needle File 160mm - Swiss Made, Pack of 12

The Sutton M305 needle files are 160 mm long, Swiss made precision files with an integrated round handle, in 12 profiles: pillar, pillar (round edges), half round, crossing, knife edge, warding, three square, square, oval, round, barrette and crochet. Each item is a pack of 12 files of the one profile, and orders are in multiples of 12.

Needle files are small precision files for fine finishing, deburring and shaping in tight spaces. These are made from high carbon steel with a smooth cut that is designed to leave a fine surface finish, and the round handle is part of the file, so there is no separate handle to fit.

Choosing and using a needle file

• Choose the profile that matches the shape you are filing: flat, curved, internal corner or slot.
• File on the forward stroke with light, even pressure and lift the file on the return stroke.
• Clamp the work firmly and clear the file teeth with a file card as they fill.
• Store needle files dry and separated from other tools to protect the teeth.
