Sutton M7090150 Nail Punch 1.5 mm x 160 mm - Soft Grip, Chrome Vanadium Steel

The Sutton M709 nail punches range covers 7 sizes, 1.5-6 mm, with soft grip handles and chrome vanadium steel construction. A nail punch is a short steel rod, usually tapered, used to drive a nail or brad below, or flush with, a wood surface.

Made from high quality chrome vanadium steel with a black oxide finish. The point is hardened and tempered to withstand continuous use. An ergonomic soft rubber grip provides comfort and safety. The handle is colour coded.

Each nail punch is sold singly. The sizes are the point diameter of the nail punch and the overall length.

Using the nail punch

• Choose a punch with a point no larger than the nail head so it sets the nail without marking the surrounding timber.
• Hold the punch square to the nail and strike the head squarely with a hammer.
• Wear eye protection when striking hardened tools.
