Seagull Viton 75 O-Ring Metric 1 x 1 mm (MOR1X1V) - Pack of 20

Seagull Viton 75 metric O-rings in 50 sizes, from 1 to 10.5 mm inside diameter, with cross-sections of 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4 mm. Each ring is Viton (FKM), 75 hardness.

Each size has a model code in the form MOR, inside diameter, X, cross-section, then V for Viton. For example MOR6X3V is a 6 mm inside diameter ring with a 3 mm cross-section. Dimensions and tolerances follow the supplier's published metric Viton size table.

Some sizes are supplied in packs. Where that applies, the pack quantity is shown in the Pack column of the sizes table and in the product details of the size.

Available sizes

Model codes are the Seagull size codes; the SKU is the AIMS part number. Sizes are in mm with the inch equivalent shown; tolerances are those in the size table.

Selecting the right option

O-rings are specified by inside diameter and cross-section. Choose both from the options list: the first number is the inside diameter in mm and the second is the cross-section (the thickness of the ring) in mm.

Measure an unused ring or the groove it sits in, and match both dimensions. A ring with the right inside diameter but the wrong cross-section will not seal correctly, so check both before ordering.

Viton (FKM) is chosen where NBR is not suited to the fluid or the operating conditions. It is not suited to every fluid, so check the compound against your fluid before ordering.

Fitting and use

Check the ring is the right size for the groove, keep it clean, and lubricate it lightly with a lubricant compatible with the compound before fitting.

Slide the ring over threads, keyways, splines and sharp edges using a sleeve, tape or a lead-in chamfer so it cannot be cut, and avoid twisting or rolling it into place.

Do not over-stretch the ring to fit, and replace O-rings when a joint is stripped down rather than reusing them.
