MUNGO Anchors & Fixings — Swiss-Engineered Anchoring for Masonry, Hollow Brick & Concrete
MUNGO is a Swiss manufacturer of professional-grade anchoring and fixing systems used in construction, trades and industrial applications across Australia. Founded in Switzerland, MUNGO is recognised globally for precision-engineered anchoring products — particularly in hollow brick, aerated concrete and lightweight blockwork where standard masonry plugs fail to achieve rated performance. AIMS Industrial stocks MUNGO hollow brick plugs, hammer screws and installation tools across 85+ line items. Manufactured to European Technical Assessment (ETA) and AS 5216 (post-installed anchors in concrete) where applicable.

MUNGO ML hollow brick plugs
MUNGO ML hollow brick plugs (10 × 90 mm, polyamide PA6) are engineered specifically for hollow brick, aerated concrete and lightweight blockwork. The ML plug expands to fill the hollow chamber on installation — providing reliable pull-out resistance in materials where standard solid-substrate masonry plugs cannot achieve rated performance. The polyamide PA6 construction handles installation torque without splitting and resists corrosion in long-term service. Available in packs of 100 for production use.
MUNGO MNA-S hammer screws
MUNGO MNA-S hammer screws with countersunk collar (120 × 80 mm, zinc-plated) provide fast, single-action installation for securing fixtures into masonry — no separate plug step required. Drill the pilot hole, drive the hammer screw home with a hammer, and the integrated expanding sleeve and screw deliver immediate fixing. Ideal for high-volume installation of fascia, brackets, gutters, electrical conduit, signage and exterior cladding where time per fixing matters.
MUNGO MIT installation tools
The MUNGO MIT-BS-H0 universal steel hand brush (28 × 30 mm) is used for cleaning drilled holes before anchor installation — a critical step for achieving rated anchor performance in all substrate types. Dust and drill swarf left in the hole reduces anchor pull-out capacity dramatically; brushing removes loose material so the anchor can grip the substrate at its rated specification. The MUNGO brush head pairs with standard threaded extensions for deep-hole access.
Substrate selection & load rating
Anchor selection follows three core inputs: substrate type (solid concrete, hollow brick, aerated concrete, plasterboard), required load capacity (tension and shear) and service environment (indoor, outdoor, fire-rated). MUNGO's specialist focus is the hollow and lightweight substrate range — where standard solid-concrete anchors don't deliver rated performance. For solid concrete fixings, see concrete screws in the broader range.
