Choosing bronze bar
Work out the finished part first. If you are turning a bush or bearing sleeve, choose a bar a little larger than the finished outside diameter, and if the part has a bore, check whether the hollow bar already gives you the inside diameter you need, which cuts out drilling. Allow extra material for turning and finishing. If you need a quantity of bushes made to a standard size, our bronze bushes may save you the machining.
