Choosing key steel
Match the key to the keyway: square or rectangular, metric or imperial, and the width and height. Then choose the finish: zinc plated or zinc coated for general use, or stainless steel (304, or 303/304 for the Precision range) where corrosion is a concern. Titles list the size range or length, and some products list their sizes as variants.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the size, tolerance and material suit your shaft and keyway before ordering.
