Choosing a clevis pin
Clevis pins are sized by pin diameter and length under the head. Measure the clevis or linkage hole for the diameter, then allow for the thickness of the parts plus room for the retainer. A multi-hole pin has more than one cross hole, so the retainer can be set to suit the stack up. A plain pin has one. The pin needs a retainer such as a split (cotter) pin to stay in place.
The steel pins are zinc plated for general use. For wet or corrosive conditions, the Inox World pin is stainless steel. If you do not know the sizes you need, a kit is a practical way to cover a range for maintenance work.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the pin diameter, length, cross hole position and material before you order, especially for load bearing or lifting applications. We do not rate pins for lifting.
