Choosing Garrick Herbert gear
For lifting gear, start with the load and the lifting arrangement, then match the working load limit (WLL), length or lift height to it. Many listings come in several capacities, so check the variant you are ordering, not just the product name. Chain blocks use a hand chain and lever hoists use a ratchet handle; both are listed, so choose on capacity, lift and where the operator will stand.
For pipe and tube tools, match the size range and thread form before you buy. Sizes are shown in inches on some listings and millimetres on others, and the threading kits are listed as NPT or BSPT.
