Choosing hi-vis workwear
Start with when and where your people work. Hi-vis garments are classed for day (D), night (N) or day and night use, and the class is stated on each listing. For day use you need a hi-vis colour. Navy garments with reflective tape are for night visibility, so check the class before you assume a garment suits both.
Then choose the garment for the conditions. Koolmesh and Koolflow styles and cotton ripstop are the lighter options for summer, a vest goes over what you already wear, and a bluey jacket or coverall suits cooler or dirtier work. Several WS Workwear hi-vis listings state compliance with AS/NZS 1906.4 and AS 4602.1, and Boomerang lists compliance with AS/NZS 1906.4, so check the listing for the garment you want.
