Magnetic sweepers pick up ferrous metal debris such as swarf, offcuts, nails and dropped fasteners from workshop, yard and site floors, which helps keep tyres, boots and machinery clear of loose metal. AIMS Industrial lists two MSA Magnetics sweepers: the Standard Super Sweeper and the Forklift Sweeper Sleeve Type.

Choosing a magnetic sweeper
Choose by how you will use it. The Forklift Sweeper Sleeve Type is the one to look at for sweeping large areas with a forklift, and the Standard Super Sweeper suits smaller areas. A wider sweeper covers more floor per pass. Sweepers only pick up magnetic (ferrous) metal, so they will not collect aluminium, brass or stainless steel that is not magnetic.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the working width and how the sweeper is fitted or operated before ordering.
