Choosing markers and inks
Start with the job. Paint markers give a visible paint mark, ink markers suit finer work, and Paintstiks, crayons and chalk are solid markers that you hold or load into a holder. Then check the surface and how long the mark has to last: the range includes wash away and water soluble options (Dura-Ink Wash Away, Pro-Wash D, Paintstik WS-3/8) as well as permanent markers. Tip and mark sizes run from 1 mm fine tips up to 17 mm Paintstiks, so check the size on the product page. For bulk marking, the refillable inks and replacement tips keep a marker in service.
