Choosing a tungsten electrode

Choose the type first, then the diameter. The types are named by their additive: thoriated, lanthanated, ceriated, zirconated or rare earth. Match the type to the metal and the welding current in your procedure, and the diameter to the current your welder is set to. The multi-pack is a way to keep a mix on hand.

Always check the data sheet. Confirm the electrode type and diameter suit your welder, your metal and your procedure before ordering.
