Choosing a stick electrode
Start with the metals you are welding. General purpose, hydrogen controlled and stainless steel electrodes are listed as separate groups, stainless electrodes are chosen by grade (308L, 309Mo, 316L), and dissimilar metal, cast iron and hardfacing electrodes each have their own products. Then choose the diameter, which is shown in the variants, and the pack: handy packs of 6 sticks, 25 stick packs, or 1 kg, 2 kg and 5 kg packs.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the electrode suits your base metal, welding position, current and procedure before ordering.
