This AAP stainless steel buttweld cap is grade 316/316L stainless steel, Schedule 40S. It is supplied in 7 sizes, 1 in (25 mm) to 4 in (100 mm).
A cap closes the end of a welded pipe run. It is welded to the pipe end. C is its overall length.
AAP supplies its stainless steel butt weld fittings made from welded stainless steel pipe, which is made from 2B or HRAP stainless steel strip formed to shape and longitudinally welded. AAP lists high tensile strength, a robust build and rust free properties as the advantages of these fittings, and says they are most commonly used in refinery complexes, chemical production and petrochemical engineering (manufacturer-stated).

Diameters and length (C) are in millimetres, from the AAP drawing. Wall thickness is from the ASTM A312M table AAP lists for Sch 40S. Figures AAP lists that conflict with its own neighbouring sizes are left blank (-) until AAP confirms them.
Selecting the right option
Match the schedule and wall thickness to the pipe you are welding to. AAP does not publish a pressure rating for the fittings themselves.
