This AAP cast steel flanged gate valve has an ASTM A216 WCB body and bonnet, 13Cr trim, a hard-faced Stellite seat and ANSI Class 150 flanges. It is supplied in 9 sizes from 2 in (50 mm) to 12 in (300 mm).

A cast steel flanged gate valve is a heavy-duty wedge gate valve for hot, high-pressure process lines. A wedge gate valve moves a wedge-shaped gate between two body seats using a spindle, so when it is fully open the fluid has a straight, uninterrupted passage with very little pressure drop. AAP says it is not recommended for flow regulation and should only be used fully open or fully closed.

AAP gives a maximum working temperature of 300 degrees C and a cold working pressure of 1,960 kPa (19.6 bar) for Class 150, with flange dimensions to ANSI B16.5 (all manufacturer-stated). The body and bonnet are ASTM A216 WCB, the wedge is WCB with 13Cr, the stem is ASTM A276 T410, the seat ring has hard-faced Stellite and the packing is graphite. Choose the size to match your ANSI Class 150 flanges, and check the hole count and hole diameter against your mating flange. Confirm the pressure and temperature rating for hot duty with AIMS before you order, and allow room around the valve for the handwheel.
