AAP OM-1 Electric Actuator, 12 V DC | VOM112VDC

This AAP OM-1 electric actuator is the lowest torque in the OM range, at 35 Nm. It is supplied in 3 supply voltages: 12 V DC, 110 V AC and 240 V AC.

An electric actuator turns a valve stem with an electric motor, so a valve can be opened and closed from a switch or a control signal instead of by hand. AAP gives the speed of this actuator as the time it takes to turn through 90 degrees, so it is a part-turn actuator.

AAP rates it at 35 Nm torque and 10 W power, with a speed of 20 seconds per 90 degrees and an approximate weight of 2 kg (all manufacturer-stated). AAP does not list the valve types it fits, the mounting standard, the enclosure rating, the duty cycle or the applications, so confirm these with AIMS against your valve before you order.

H, L, A, B and C are the dimensions lettered on the AAP drawing. AAP does not say in text what each letter measures, so ask AIMS if you need a particular dimension confirmed before you order.

Selecting the right option

Choose the model by the torque you need at the valve, then the supply voltage to match your power and control supply. Check the torque your valve needs, with a margin, against the figure AAP gives. AAP also lists this model in 24 V AC and 24 V DC, which AIMS does not currently list. Ask if you need one.
