This AAP plate flat face flange is made from steel to AS4087 PN21 (manufacturer-stated). It is supplied in 12 sizes from 4 in (100 mm) to 48 in (1200 mm).
A plate flange is a flat ring of steel with a centre bore that the pipe passes through before it is welded in place. The flat face seats against a full-face gasket. AAP describes plate flanges as mainly used for light duty, lower pressure or non-critical applications. They are cut and machined from plate steel.
AAP lists AS4087 PN21 (manufacturer-stated) at an allowable operating pressure of 2,100 kPa, a maximum operating pressure of 2,520 kPa and an allowable site test pressure of 2,625 kPa.

Check the pipe outside diameter against the flange bore before ordering. Match the standard and table or class to the mating flange and compare the drilling dimensions listed on this page, because flanges made to different standards are not interchangeable. Gaskets and bolting are not part of this listing. Availability on the 6 in and 8 in sizes varies, so check with AIMS before you order.
