This AAP stainless mesh filter has a nylon body, a 304 stainless steel mesh and an ISO 228 thread. It is supplied in 10 sizes from 3/8 in (10 mm) to 4 in (100 mm).
This is a mesh filter, a cylindrical stainless steel mesh basket on a nylon body that stops solids passing. AAP lists only its materials, thread and mesh size and does not describe where it is fitted. The AAP drawing shows an external thread, but AAP does not state the thread gender in text, so confirm it with AIMS before you order.
AAP gives the thread as ISO 228 and lists a mesh size of 1,200 micrometres (1.2 mm) for the 3/8 in to 2 in sizes and 2,000 micrometres (2 mm) for the 2-1/2 in to 4 in sizes (manufacturer-stated). AAP does not list a pressure, a temperature or applications. Check the nylon body and mesh suit your fluid and temperature.

Choose the size to match your pipe thread, and confirm the thread gender and the mesh size you need with AIMS. L is the length of the filter, as shown on the AAP drawing. AAP also lists Y strainers in brass, stainless steel and cast iron.
