1/4 in (8 mm) 90 Degree Male-Female Threaded Elbow, NPT, Black | PEMF08

This AAP male-female 90 degree threaded elbow is a forged carbon steel fitting with NPT thread and a black finish. It is supplied in 8 sizes, 1/4 in (8 mm) to 2 in (50 mm).

A male-female 90 degree elbow turns a pipe run through a right angle with a female thread at one end and a male thread at the other, so it screws straight into a female port without a nipple. AAP does not say which end is male on its drawing, so confirm it with AIMS before you order. A is the centre to end dimension, B is the outside diameter and C is the overall length, as lettered on the AAP drawing.

AAP rates its threaded high pressure fittings at 3000 lb (manufacturer-stated). AAP's pressure and temperature chart for screwed and socket welding fittings lists 3000 lb fittings at 3000 psi (about 20.7 MPa) from -20 to 100 degrees F (-29 to 38 degrees C), reducing to 355 psi (about 2.4 MPa) at 1000 degrees F (538 degrees C). AAP lists ASTM A105 carbon steel forgings among the standards for the range.

Choose the size and thread to match your pipework (NPT or BSPT cannot be mixed), and check the thread gender at each end against the fitting it joins.
