B-Safe Confined Space Spreader Frame, 44 mm Webbing, Double Action Hooks (BR05110)

The B-Safe spreader frame, code BR05110, is a confined space entry and retrieval accessory with a sturdy spreader bar, 44 mm yellow webbing, double action steel hooks and a mild steel pickup D ring. B-Safe's data sheet gives a weight of 1 kg, says it is AS 1891.1 approved and batch tested to destruction, and describes its application as confined spaces entry and retrieval (manufacturer-stated). B-Safe's catalogue lists the spreader frame in its confined space tripod kits, with a confined space harness, a rescue system and a retrieval block.

B-Safe does not state a rated capacity for the spreader frame. Ask AIMS for the capacity and the certificate before you use it, and use it only as part of a confined space system with a rescue plan. B-Safe's manuals say a rescue plan should form part of the use of fall protection equipment, because prolonged hanging in a harness while waiting for rescue could allow the onset of suspension intolerance (manufacturer-stated).

AIMS and Beaver's website have called this product a 'corrugated anchor bolt'. B-Safe's catalogue and data sheet list BR05110 as a spreader frame, so this page uses that name.

B-Safe's technical guide says to inspect fall protection equipment before each use, to check the date of manufacture and the remove from service date on the label, and to take any equipment that has been used to arrest a fall out of use and return it to the supplier for inspection and certification, or destroy it (manufacturer-stated).

Fall protection equipment must be selected, installed, used, inspected and maintained by trained people in line with the manufacturer's instructions and the relevant Australian Standards. Ask AIMS for the instructions and test certificates before you order, and never use it for any purpose other than the one it was made for.
