Beaver B-Alloy-V Weld-On Lifting and Lashing Ring, WLL 1.5 t (BALPV015)

Beaver B-Alloy-V weld-on lifting and lashing rings are Grade 100 rings made from quenched and tempered alloy steel, and Beaver says they offer a full working load limit (WLL) at all angles (manufacturer-stated). They have a powder coated baked enamel finish and are welded into position using the height lugs on a weld block (manufacturer-stated). Beaver says the welding must be carried out to EN 287 or AWS standards by an authorised welder, and supplies welding instructions and procedures with each unit (manufacturer-stated). Beaver does not publish a minimum breaking load or proof load for the rings. Welding

Beaver says the welding of these rings must only be carried out to EN 287 or AWS standards by an authorised welder, with the welding instructions and procedures supplied with each unit (manufacturer-stated). The weld size, weld length and weld volume Beaver lists for each size are in the table. Beaver's manual says detailed welding instructions are available on request. AIMS gives no welding advice beyond what Beaver publishes, so ask AIMS to get the instructions from Beaver if you need them before ordering.

Key specifications

Codes, WLLs, dimensions (in millimetres), weld details and weights are from Beaver's Materials Handling Technical Manual (Vol. 4, page 52) and the Beaver website. Beaver does not define the dimension letters. Beaver's range also lists 6.7, 10 and 16 t sizes (BALPV067, BALPV100, BALPV160), which AIMS does not carry. Beaver sells the rings singly (unit of measure: each).

The WLL Beaver lists applies to the ring as supplied and welded as Beaver specifies, so confirm the full lifting and lashing arrangement with a qualified rigger if you are unsure.
