Selecting the right option

Screw extractor size is matched to the broken fastener diameter. Drill the correct pilot hole first using the specified left-hand drill (included in most Bordo sets) — the left-hand twist sometimes backs out the fastener during drilling. Apply cutting oil and use low speed — broken extractors are even harder to remove than broken bolts.
