The Bossweld 316LSi Stainless Steel MIG Wire is a precision layer wound, low-carbon stainless steel wire for welding 316 and 316L stainless steel and, in some cases, 304 and 304L. It can also join stainless steel to mild and low alloy steel. It is classified AWS A5.9 ER316LSi (manufacturer-stated).
The low carbon content reduces the risk of carbide precipitation and intergranular corrosion. The higher silicon content improves arc stability, bead shape and edge wetting. It comes in 0.8, 0.9 and 1.2 mm on 1 kg, 5 kg and 15 kg spools.
