Bossweld CR 39 Cover Lens 51 x 108mm Clear

The Bossweld CR 39 Cover Lens is a clear 51 x 108 mm lens made from CR39, a thermoresistant composite resin. It sits in front of the welding filter to protect it from spatter, metal and incandescent particles, and it is resistant to smoke and spatter for longer life, which is why it is known in the industry as a 1000 hour lens.

A cover lens does not protect the eyes against impact, flying particles or dangerous rays (UV/IR). It protects the filter lens, and the filter still does the eye protection work. The manufacturer states compliance with Australian Standards.

Selecting the right option

Fit it on the outside of the filter lens and replace it when it is pitted or scratched. Filter lenses include the Bossweld Welding Lens and the Gold Reflective Lens. Bossweld lenses in this 108 x 51 mm size fit standard flip-up and passive helmets such as the Bossweld Black Lift Front Helmet.
