Selecting the right option
For AC welding (aluminium), use pure or zirconiated tungsten. For DC welding (steel, stainless), use thoriated or ceriated. Match the diameter to the amperage range — 1.6mm for light work up to ~150A, 2.4mm for up to ~250A, 3.2mm for heavier applications.
