Brady 850823 Steel Padlock, Keyed Differently, 20 mm shackle, Black

The Brady steel padlock is a heavy-duty laminated steel padlock, keyed differently (KD) and supplied with two keys. This listing has six options: a 20 mm shackle in black, orange and red and a 47 mm shackle in black, green and orange (manufacturer-stated).

Brady lists the body at 33 x 30 x 22 mm and says the individually zinc-coated steel plates give rust protection. The cylinder is a 5-pin cylinder with a paracentric keyway, drill protection and countersunk rivets. Brady notes that many customers also use steel padlocks for lockout (manufacturer-stated).

Brady's product title gives the shackle as 20 mm or 47 mm, and its specification table gives 'Shackle Dimensions' as 6.4 mm. Brady does not say what either figure measures, so check the shackle against your hasp or lockout point before ordering. It also does not state key retaining, a temperature range, a standard or the weight. The body and shackle are steel, so this is not a non-conductive padlock.

The Product Code is Brady's ordering number for each padlock (Brady prints no separate part number). Use padlocks and lockout devices within your site's isolation procedure, and check that the keying and key control suit how your site manages locks.
