35 mm Button Head Socket Screw, 304 Stainless Steel - BCSA2M4X35

The Button Head Socket Screw M4, Stainless Steel is a low, domed-head screw driven by a hex key. The smooth rounded head sits above the surface with little to catch on, so it is used where appearance or a snag-free finish matters.

You can choose from 4 variants, covering lengths 35 mm to 45 mm. Each variant is supplied in packs of 100.

This listing includes both A2 (304) and A4 (316) stainless steel; the grade is shown on each variant. A2 (304) suits indoor, fresh water and general outdoor use. A4 (316) contains molybdenum, which improves resistance to chlorides, and is the grade normally chosen for coastal, pool, marine and food-processing settings. Metric sizes are written M followed by the nominal thread diameter in millimetres, so M10 is a 10 mm thread.

In wet conditions, keep stainless steel apart from aluminium and galvanised steel with a washer or sleeve, to reduce the risk of galvanic corrosion.

Selecting the right option

The head is shallow, so the hex recess is smaller than on a cap screw of the same thread size. Use the correct key and avoid over-tightening. Use anti-seize on the thread.
