M4 Captive Pin D Shackle, 316 Stainless Steel - DSCA4M4

Made in 316 (A4) stainless steel, the Captive Pin D Shackle is a D shackle whose pin is held captive in the shackle body, so the pin cannot be lost when the shackle is opened.

A4 (316) stainless steel contains molybdenum (about 2 to 3 per cent), which improves its resistance to chlorides. It is the grade normally chosen for coastal, pool, marine and food-processing settings, and it costs more than A2 (304).

Use stainless washers and nuts with stainless fasteners, so the whole joint is made of the same material.
