C4012 Chain Coupling Cover, Fits C4012 Coupling

Replacement covers for chain couplings, in sizes C4012 to C10020. The cover protects the chain and sprockets and adds a safeguard around the rotating coupling. Chain couplings are supplied complete with a cover, and this listing is for a spare or replacement cover on its own.

The catalogue gives the speed above which a cover is required for each size, along with the A and B dimensions and the mass of the cover.

Where this product is used

• Replacing a damaged or missing cover on a chain coupling
• Guarding chain couplings on pumps, fans, conveyors and compressors
• Fitting a cover to a coupling that is running close to the speed where a cover is required

Features

• Covers for chain coupling sizes C4012 to C10020
• Speed above which a cover is required listed for every size
• A and B dimensions and mass listed for every cover
• Sized to match the chain coupling of the same number

Selecting and fitting

Order the cover with the same number as the coupling. A C8018 coupling takes a C8018 cover. There is no cover listed for the C6020, C8020 or C12022 sizes in the catalogue.

For increased safety the manufacturer recommends fitting a cover to every chain coupling, even below the speed where one is required.

Fit the cover only once the coupling is aligned and lubricated. Isolate the drive before removing a cover.

Dimensions are as listed in the manufacturer catalogue and are for reference. Contact AIMS to confirm a measurement if it is critical to your application.
